Marcus Livius Drusus was Tribun of the plebs, in the year -122 front J. - C.

He was opposed by the senate to the powerful orator of the plebs Caius Sempronius Gracchus, which had been made frightening by its popularity. To destroy the influence of this seditious powerful orator, Drusus in the name of the senate, filled the people of favors and generosities, and distributed grounds free. It managed its functions with the greatest integrity, was named consul the year 112 av. J-C. and overcame the Scordisques. cf social war
