Marcus Horatius Barbatus

Marcus Horatius Barbatus , according to the annalistic tradition , played an active role in the revolution which had as a result the abolition of the Decemvirat. With Valerius Publicola Potitus, they were the senators who banished the preceding praetors.

In 449 before j-c, he is consul. He would have been one of the promoters of the laws valerias haratias, which restored the call to the people and the inviolability of the powerful orators and give the force of law to the plebiscites.
