Marco Meloni (1961-) is a guitarist virtuoso originating in Sardinia resulting from a family from musicians whose father, Celio Meloni, recognized guitarist, are the friend of the guitarist Alirio Diaz.
In 1979, it gains Ier price with the international Contest of guitar of Artez-in-Béarn (France).
In Paris, he studies with the Schola Cantorum with Javier Hinojosa and parallel to the academy of the Raincy, where, in 1984, he obtains 2 diplomas which come to crown these years of training. It starts its career in solo or with orchestras, in particular in Italy, in France, in Spain, in Turkey, in Canada and in Argentina.
It develops an original repertory of music Baroque, its speciality.
It resides and teaches in Sardinia at the civic School of music of Nuoro and gives also international courses of interpretation.
It maintains the friendly relations with Jacques Grossin and Yvon Duflot, both guitarists. He played in duet with David Garciarena.
