Marcilly-le-Châtel

Marcilly-le-Châtel (ex Marcilly-the-Paving stone) is a common French, located in the department of the the Loire and the area the Rhone-Alps.

Geography

Small village located in edge of the plain of the Forez in the Loire, it is famous for its Vigne S which belongs to AOC Côtes of Drill as for its flying established on the old site of a medieval Château of the 12th destroyed and rebuilt century at the 19th century. The city and its castle appear in passages of Astrée , saga novel of Honore d' Urfé.
