Marcenod
Marcenod is a common French, located in the department of the the Loire and the area the Rhone-Alps.
Geography
History
- Marcenod shelters on its territory the manor the castle of Trocésar, known as “of the three Césars” (remains 16th century), old stronghold of Grammond. The lord was vassal among that of Fontanès, moreover this last had the title of Lord of Fontanès and Grammond-Trocésar.Les Saint-Priest and Harenc, linked by the marriage in 1599, are the most former known lords of Trocésar.
In the beginning simple hamlet, the commune is created in 1868 of part of Larajasse and of part of Saint-Christo-in-Jarez, its neighbors.
