Marcelo Bielsa
Marcelo Bielsa (called El Loco Bielsa , " Bielsa the fou"), born the July 21st 1955 with Rosario, is a Entraîneur of Argentinian football . Currently it is selector of the Chile.
After a career of player like defender with Newell' S Old Servant boys, he becomes trainer and is success with Newell' S at the end of the Eighties and with beginning of the year 90. He then sees himself offering the station of national sport selector in 1998, remplacmeent some of Daniel Passarella.
With the head of a team of tempting Argentina, taken along by players of world class like Gabriel Batistuta, Hernan Crespo, Juan Sebastián Verón or Ariel Ortega, it easily obtain the qualification for the Mondial 2002. Argentina unloads in favorite with the Japan but it falls from top while not managing to pass the first turn in a group it is true very difficult with the England, the Sweden and the Nigeria.
In spite of this failure, it is renewed with the head of the selection and obtains two major results in 2004 with a place of finalist of the Copa America vis-a-vis the Brésil and a gold medal with the Olympic Games of Athens. Little time afterwards, it decides to leave its station, with the general surprise. It is replaced by Jose Pekerman.
August 10th, 2007, it takes again in hand the team of Chile, substitute Nelson Acosta, with an aim of qualifying the selection for the world cup 2010.
