Biography
Holy Marcel , is born with Paris, on the Île of the City in a humble family living close to the Small-Bridge. It was the ninth bishop of Paris and chaired the Concile of Paris in 360 - 361, recognizing the Concile of Nicée of 325.
He sponsored Sainte Genevieve, future owner of Paris.
He died in November 436 under the reign of the Roman Emperor Théodose II.
The legend of Marcel Saint
Fault of being dead in Martyr, Saint Marcel was canonized by the wonder which it would have achieves, at the origin of the legend of Marcel Saint; it would have indeed overcome a dragon terrorizing Paris by only one blow of its stick.
