Marcel Wibault

Marcel Wibault (born in 1904 with Besancon and dead in February 1998 with Chamonix) is a painter known today especially for his many paintings of mountains representatives the Mont Blanc, Chamonix, the large summits of the the Alps, the country cottages, the flowers.

Biography

It took its first steps in art by carrying out drafts of soldiers of the 60ème regiment of infantry of Besancon. It will become thereafter raises of the Art schools. Well later he discovered, as Membre of the Alpine Club French, the Alps and his landscapes imposing which are still offered to the artist in the search of his own style.

With beginning of the year 30, he established in Chamonix and discovers in his disturbed times the departments of the Savoy and the High Savoy.

Encouraged by his wife, a parisenne come to join it, Marcel Wibault paint the mountain and its neighborhoods. Living with chamonix, it course neighborhoods to equip with its material of painting. He is a painter of full. He can produce works in only one meeting.

Elected the museum of natural history and the town of Geneva in Suisse, into true géologe informed it will paint many rocks. In the Sixties, he will also testify, by his painting, of the realization of the Tunnel of Mont Blanc.
