Marcel Lecomte (1900 - 1966) is a member of the group Belgian Surréaliste .
In 1922 Marcel Lecomte publishes in Antwerp Démonstrations with the Editions " That ira". He meets in 1923 Nougé, 1924 Rene Magritte and forms the same year with Nougé, Magritte, Goemans the " group; Correspondance" , from which it is excluded in July 1925. He collaborates in 1926 in the first number of the review " Marie" , directed by E.L.T. Mesens then finds in 1928 Goemans, Nougé, Lecomte and Mesens with the review " Distances".
Marcel Lecomte enters in 1934 secondary education to Brussels and will remain there until 1945. He collaborates in the review " Documents 34" of Mesens and is co-signatory in 1935 of the " Knife in the plaie" who gathers for the first time the surrealist group of Brussels (Magritte, Mesens, Nougé, Scutenaire, André Souris) and that of the Hainaut (Achille Chavée, Fernand Dumont). In 1940 it takes part in " The Invention collective" , directed by Magritte and Ubac.
In 1959 Marcel Lecomte is attached to the Museum of modern art of Brussels (Files of the contemporary art). He dies in Brussels on November 19th, 1966.
