Marcel II
Marcello Cervini , (born the May 6th 1501 with Montefano, in Marche - died on May 1st 1555) was an Italian monk of the 16th century, which became the 222e pope of the Catholic church, in 1555, under the name of Marcel II (in Latin Marcellus II , in Italian Marcello II ). He was the last pope to be chosen like name of reign its first name of baptism. The Council of Thirty, in 1545, it had played a big role like legate pontifical.
