Marcel Dalarun

Marcel Dalarun is president of association Magène and former president of the folk group Charles Frémine.

It was responsible for the linguistic commission for Jersey-Coutançais Association and organizer for the Popular University Norman for Coutançais. It took part in the development of the Grammar Norman which one knows the media repercussion. He is the author of more than 50 texts of songs in Normand recorded by the group Magène.

Its poetic creation is based on two wills: to evoke topics little approached in the literature Norman (love, friendship, freedom, childhood…) and to use a very rich vocabulary. Its original production and érudite do of him one of the largest poets in language Norman.

Its name, in addition, is often associated with the research undertaken on the history of the potters of the area of Néhou. Marcel Dalarun joined together a collection of artisanal potteries which it yielded to the department Manche. He took part, with Remi Pézeril, with Of ground and fire (1996), a reference book on this craft industry.

75 of its poems and songs were gathered in 2004 in a work entitled has men leisi .
