Marcel Choquette

Marcel Choquette (born with Saint-Hyacinthe, province of Quebec, in 1913), deceased on November 26th, 1971, is a Québécois sculptor. He had two sisters: Cecile and Ernestine both deceased.

The artist is the author of the sculpture entitled, Maurice Richard, in homage to the player who was distinguished throughout his career from hokeyor. One can admire this sculpture with the Maurice-Richard arena. It is inside, in the hall. This bronze was carried out by the museum of Inverness according to the original plaster have Rocket scupté by Marchel Choquette. The statue of the hokeyor, set up outside the arena, is the certified copy of the bronze of Marcel. Its name should appear in reference on the plate of identification, which was omitted by those which made this statue. Moreover, on Saturday, March 30, 1997, the Newspaper of Montreal, under the feather of Jean-Michel Gauthier, published an article where the realization of bronze was allotted to the artists Jules Lasalle and Annick Bourgeau, which is completely false and constitutes a plagiarism.
