Marcel Caens
Marcel Caens is a Trompettiste, born with Honfleur in 1919. Nephew of Maurice Caens (Violonist)
He begins the horn with Villedieu-the-Stoves with Michel Havard. In 1937, it leaves to the army and becomes acquainted with Bourvil and Louiguy (type-setter of " the Bed of roses "). It enters to the Conservatoire of Paris with Eugene Foveau where it obtains in 1939 the 2nd Price of horn. From 1940 to 1943, he is prisoner in Germany. In 1944, it obtains the 2nd Price of trumpet. First Price in 1945. In 1946, it is engaged with the Orchestra of Radio Morocco with Rabat and with the Theater of Casablanca where it also teaches with the Academy. In 1954, he becomes professor with the National Academy of Area of Dijon like trumpet solo of the Orchestra of the Theater. He is the father of the trumpet player Thierry Caens of the saxophonist Jean-Pierre Caens, of Herve Caens professor of music and Joelle Caens (Guidot wife).
Marcel Caens is deceased in November 2006 with old 87 years.
