Marcantonio Colonna (1535 - 1584), general and Italian admiral, Condottiere of the end of the 16th century, admiral of the Pope Paul V.

Duke of Palliano, ordered 12 pontifical galères with the Bataille of Lépante (1571), where the Spain, Venice and Rome fought against the Musulmans. He was thereafter viceroy of Sicily for Philippe II of Spain. He died in 1584.
