Marc Wasterlain

Marc Wasterlain (Erquelinnes on June 29th, 1946) is a Scénariste and Belgian Dessinateur of Cartoon .

Biography

Marc Wasterlain directed himself young person towards graphic arts, it began his studies at the school of Beautiful arts of Mons but stopped them to specialize in the comic strip with the CAD of Brussels. He became the pupil of Dino Attanasio and worked on inkings and decorations of the series Modeste and Pompon. In 1966, it joined the studio Peyo and collaborates in the decorations on the series Schtroumpfs and Benoît Brisefer.

It makes its first beginning in solo with the series Bob Moon and Titania in 1971 for the magazine Tintin. It creates two years later the poetic series Mr. Bonhomme . In 1975, an accident with the hand will modify its graphics and will make it more angular. This year, it turns over to the Spirou magazine.

In 1995, it will leave the editions Dupuis for the editions Casterman. He collaborates since his beginnings with various magazines of cartoon that it is through the prepublication of its series, but also through a work of illustration ((to be followed) special HS Hergé, for example) or series created that for the magazine only (does Comment make? in the Tintin magazine or Yvan and Wanda for Astrapi).
