Marc Restout

Marc Restout , born with Caen the February 14th 1616 and died in Caen the April 3rd 1684, is a painter French.

Wire of Marguerin Restout, Marc Restout belongs to the famous family of the Restout painters. He was made a great reputation in Flanders, Holland and with Rome where he had accompanied the Chick in 1642.

This prolific artist had ten children, whose majority were painters, among which Jacques Restout, Eustace Restout, Jean Ier Restout, Charles Restout, Thomas Restout, Pierre Restout, Marc Antoine Restout.

He died alderman of Caen.
