Marc Perrone

Marc Perrone is an accordionist of Italian origin, playing mainly of the Diatonic accordion. Born in 1951 with Villejuif, it learned the accordion as an autodidact. He lives since 20 years with Marie-Odile Chantran, musician and dancer. The technique of play of this musician is centered on a keyboard with 4 rows especially built for him by the Italian factor Castagnari, enabling him to approach, beyond the purely traditional musics, of the transcriptions of French songs and a broader repertory (jazz, improvisations). Impassioned cinema, its meeting with Bernard Favre with beginning of the year 80, involves it towards the composition for some films. In this context, Marc Perrone composed in particular with Bertrand Tavernier. This last would in addition have declared, about Marc Perrone: “ a splendid musician, traveller in time and repairer of memory. Perhaps because it knows the price and the value of the dreams? ”.
