Marc Hornec , known as “ Open the ”, is one of the members of the Clan Hornec, based with Montreuil-sous-Bois in Seine-Saint-Denis. Junior by the Brothers Hornec, it is regarded as one by the figures by the Parisian medium and the organized crime.

Arrests

In 1995, Marc Hornec was condemned to four years of imprisonment, after the discovery of approximately 500 kg of hashish in a box rented with his name.

Decree and EM Prison born in December 2001, its handing-over in freedom under Judicial control by a Judge of freedoms and detention in February 2002 made scandal and started again the debate on the presumption of innocence. (Le Monde of February 19th, 2002).

Mare of 2003

In spring 2003, a Grenoble-native judge discovers his alleged implication in an aggression with weapons made in the night of the 9 to the December 10th 2002 in the Isere. At the time of this night, a Commando of seven or eight individuals is introduced in the residence of a couple, handcuffs the occupants of the places, and sets out again by carrying jewel X of values and Diamant S for a value of 400.000 F, is approximately 60.000 €.

In Mare, since the August 14th 2003, Marc Hornec is officially registered with the Fichier of the required people (“FPR”), under the terms of a Warrant for arrest delivered the same day by a Juge of Grenoble. Its presence is turn-with-turn announced on the Riviera, with Nice, Menton, in Savoy, with Courchevel, or in Paris.

The gendarme S of the research department of Grenoble then try to find Hornec, placing under monitoring its three properties, in the the Valley-of-Marne and on the Riviera. The man remains untraceable. August 14th, 2003, a Grenoble-native judge delivers against him and his partner 36 years old, a warrant for arrest.

In March 2004, Marc Hornec is finally stopped by the gendarmes of elite of GIGN, before being given in freedom three months later.
