Marc Favreau

Marc Favreau (November 9th 1929 with Montreal, Quebec, Canada - December 17th 2005 with Montreal) was large a Philosophe, Humoriste and actor. He is mainly known for his character of Sol, the Clown Clochard. Its at the same time naive, poetic and humorous texts made the happiness of the public, as well with the Canada as in French-speaking Europe.

Biography

It makes its studies with the Académie Querbes d' Outremont and at the University Sir Georges William, now known under the name of the Université Concordia. Its diploma out of pocket, it wants to move towards the realization of stage sets.

In 1950, it begins its career from actor to the Théâtre of the new world in Don Juan of Molière, where it holds role of Pierrot. At the same moment, it makes on television its beginnings in Occurring it and 14, rue de Galais .

Starting from 1958, after a stay with Paris, it holds the role of Sol in Bim and Sol , left the emission the Box with surprised of Radio-Canada. The emission becomes later Sol and Bouton , then Sol and Gobelet , which will end in 1972.

In the following years, that is to say over one 30 years period, it takes again the character on various scenes through the Quebec, the France, the French-speaking Belgium and other countries. It carried out some albums, of which I megalomaniac with myself , in 1977.

He dies of cancer at the 76 years age to the Hôpital Notre-Dame in Montreal.
