Marc Cécillon

Marc Cécillon (born the July 30th 1959 with Bourgoin-Jallieu) is old a Rugby man.

Its life of rugby player

It is formed with the trade of pastrycook but equipped with an impressive gauge (1,92 m, 110 kg) it makes its classes with the club of Saint-Savin before joining that of Bourgoin-Jallieu.

Third line centers (or wing) or second line, it counts 46 selections in team of France of 1988 to 1995, of which it had been five times the captain. It took part in the rounds in Argentine in 1988 and 1992, in New Zealand in 1989, with the the United States in 1991, and South Africa in 1993.

He was finalist of the championship of France in 1997, of the Coupe de France in 1997 and 1999, of the Challenge of the Hope in 1995. and victorious of the European Challenge in 1997 (more finalist in 1999).

Convivial, celebrated for its exploits, it is that which “makes more than the third half-time”, and only his father succeeds in calming it when it skids in the nightclubs of the area.

Assassination and lawsuit

After its retirement in 1999 (he is then still semi-finalist of the championship in spring), he becomes trainer-player of the club of the US Beaurepaire in Main road 2. Thereafter, he becomes “ambassador” of the CSBJ at the request of the president berjallien Pierre Martinet, but the inactivity corrodes it. It seems that little by little, the former champion sinks in the depression, the Alcoolisme and the drugs.

August 7th, 2004, drunk, it kills his wife Chantal, medical secretary, with whom it had been married for 24 years, of five shots during one evening sprinkled joining together an about sixty people with Saint-Savin. His wife wanted to ask for the Divorce, not supporting more alcoholism, exacerbated violence and harassing jealous of her husband, in addition frequently inaccurate. Not supporting the starting will of his wife, Marc Cécillon asks him at the time of this evening to return with him, which she refuses. He then strikes a friend who interposes and is driven out by their host. He leaves to seek his gun, a weapon 357 Magnum, in the car in his residence, which for justice constituted the Préméditation, before returning and assassinating his wife. The guests have then the greatest evil to control it. Its rate of Alcoolémie measured then was of 2,65 grams. The couple had two girls, 22 and 24 years, present at the time of the lawsuit in 2006.

The lawsuit of Marc Cécillon in front of the Court of Assizes of Isere begins on November 6th, 2006. The defense of its lawyer relates especially to the difficulties of reconversion of a former champion, left with itself after having known glory, and on its difficulties of expressing its feelings. On Friday, November 10, although the prosecuting attorney required only 15 years of prison, the jury condemns it to 20 years of imprisonment for the Assassinat of his wife. The following week, Marc Cécillon made call of its judgment. A second lawsuit will thus take place, at the time which it will be able to hope for a reduced sorrow, but risk also the same sanction even a worsened sorrow, which can go until perpetuity.
