Marc Butterfly, lord of Lasphrise , known as also the Captain Lasphrise and sometimes named Marc de Papillon , born close from Amboise towards 1555 and died towards 1599, is a satirical poet Baroque and erotic French.

Biography

Resulting from a southernmost family impoverished by the wars, orphan of father, it committed very young in the catholic armies. It makes many stays with the Cour before being withdrawn in Lasphrise, close to Turns, towards 1587. In love not very concerned with the taboos and conventions, there remains the poet of the Amours of Theophilus , made up in the honor of a nun, and the Love impassioned of Noémie , composed for a cousin, Noémie-la-Tourangelle, remarkable by their tone libertine. One finds there also some audacities of language, like this sonnet “in language enfançon” and this other “in unknown language” which starts as follows:

Cerdis Zerom deronty toulpinye,

Pursis harlins orifieux linor…

He is also the author of a comedy, the tragicomic News , and Christian works.
