Marc Allégret

Marc Allégret is a French realizer born the December 22nd 1900 with Basle (Suisse) and deceased the November 3rd 1973 with Paris (France).

Biography

Wire of Élie Allégret, Pasteur Protestant missionary who was the tutor of André Gide, it maintained with this last a connection which marked their personal maturity reciprocally. After having accompanied Andre Gide with the Congo in 1927 to turn documentary there, it decided to continue a career of scenario writer. This voyage put also fine at its connection with Gide, although they remained friendly.

Marc Allégret is also the brother of the scenario writer Yves Allégret and the uncle of the girl of that Ci: Catherine Allégret.
