Marc-Kevin Goellner

Marc-Kevin Goellner , born the September 22nd 1970 with Rio de Janeiro is old a German Tennis player.

Child of diplomat, it was born with the Brésil and lived in Germany only starting from age the 16 years after having also grown in Australia and Israel.

It begins its professional path in 1991 whereas the previous year, a wound with the left foot had failed to prevent some.

In 1993, it finally gains in Nice its first tournament into simple on circuit ATP by beating Ivan Lendl. It arrives then finally of the double Sirs at Roland-Garros with his compatriot David Prinosil with whom it had already gained in Rotterdam. Its results this year there enable him to gain more than 400 places to world classification. At the end of the year, it gains the Coupe Davis with Germany.

Always with David Prinosil, it gains in 1996 the bronze medal as double Sirs with the Olympic Games of Atlanta. This year there, it also gains its second title into simple at the professionals with Marbella.

During all its career, Goellner gained two titles into simple and four title in doubles. Its best classification with the ATP was 26e into simple (in 1994) and 25e in double (in 1998). Its best performance in Large Slam was a eighth of finale to Roland-Garros in 1993 where it was inclined against Andreï Medvedev.

Since 2004 and its sporting retirement, Goellner and its trainer, Andreas Maurer, work in their own academy of tennis, the New Tennis (NTG) Generation.

Marc-Kevin Goellner is married and has two children.
