Marc-Edouard Nabe

Marc-Edouard Nabe of his true name Alain Zannini , is a French writer, born with Marseilles the December 27th 1958. It is also painter, and guitarist (rhythmic) of Jazz, in particular near Marcel Zanini, his father.

Biography

Via his/her father, musician of jazz and singer, it côtoie as of his youth large musicians of the Jazz, but also of the painters, the journalists of Hara-kiri and Charlie Hebdo , which will provide him topics and style, when he chooses to borrow the way of the literature. In 16 years (1974 - 1975), he collaborates in several numbers of Hara-Kiri , by publishing drawings color there and binds friendship with the Professor Choron and Gébé.

Its first book was designed to be thick, single and final… In the literary circle, work is considered to be impressive (Philippe Sollers), but it disturbs. Nabe attacks topics considered to be sensitive, like homosexuality, racism, the Zionism, etc It admires décriés authors, like Bloy, Rebatet or Céline… It is not described like an agitator, even if that could be its ideal of artist.

Published in a form shortened under the title With the treat of vermins this first book appears in 1985 at Bernard Barrault. It creates a sharp polemic. Its admirors believe to find a new writer with the powerful talent which they vainly awaited from long time. Its detractors perceive it like a dangerous maker, as factitious as hollow and improbable. A rocambolesque participation in the emission Apostrophes condemns it to a certain media banishment.

Consequently, Nabe connects publication on publication, with an unequal success: novels, lampoons, praises (musicians of jazz)… It animates also reviews treating of the topicality, in particular the International Idiot of Jean-Edern Hallier.

In parallel, as soon as completed its first work, it starts to hold a Diary. A newspaper which it decides to publish only ten years after the reported events. It is Jean-Paul Bertrand Éditions of the Rock which dares to leave the “scathing attack”. The author from day to day notes there his intimate life and that of his close relations, his readings, exits with the cinema, his reactions to the topicality. One also sees it approaching Christian circles.

The September 11th, 2001, inspires a lampoon to him a glimmer of hope , of which the reception more than is mitigated. It disappoints as well from the literary point of view as ideological.

Patmos, Apocalypse

Disgusted artistic medium and Parisian arts person, it is withdrawn seven months in the island of Patmos, to live where holy Jean had written the Apocalypse. It publishes in its return: Alain Zannini , Romance initiate in the island which enables him to say good-bye to the diarism (balancing the accounts by summarizing its course since the last volume published of the Journal ). Since, it deals primarily with the situation in the Middle East: stay with Baghdad before the American unloading, publication of a new newspaper the Truth , and of I insert the nail , where its topics are rejoués on bottom of topicality.

Twenty years after its publication, its first book, With the treat of vermins , is republished with the editions the Dilettante. A copier prefaces entitled “the Livre Twenty-seventh” precedes the text. It is not a question of an analysis a posteriori, but of an inventory of fixtures: Nabe draws up the assessment of its situation after 26 pounds published. Of realiserealises what became according to itself, the author of the Régal , and, with him, a certain idea of the literature. It puts in parallel its destiny and that of Michel Houellebecq (which was its neighbor of building!) : how this last very succeeded, whereas him, Nabe, according to the criteria of success, very missed.

In October 2006 appears at Léo Scheer a collection of selected Pieces . 500 pages of passages selected in all work by the author and Angie David. This anthology, divided into 26 topics, illustrates the coherence of the vision of the world “nabienne” to the twenty years length of creation.

Leaflets

For the remainder, since this twenty-seventh delivers, Nabe turned the back on the world of the edition. It is expressed today primarily on subjects of topicality through leaflets posted and distributed free. If he encourages the Nabe diffusion of it prohibits any paying publication of this mode of diffusion which joins again, inter alia, with the Dazibao Chinese. Zidane the rabble , the first of these polemical, sober and dense posters, with the looked after graphic composition, makes its appearance on the walls of Paris and Marseilles shortly after the final of the World cup of July 2006. Nabe reacts to it hot on the direction of the blow of head of Zidane and the use of the word " terroriste" in the international situation.

The second, the White Feet , fustigates the Maghrebians médiatiquement installed that Nabe calls " collabeurs" , and through the Indigenous film , is caught some particularly with Jamel Debbouze.

The third " And Littell screwed Angot " draw up a cruel report of the world of the French edition and literary prizes and widens on a reflection on the taboo of Shoah like subject of novel.

The fourth " Represents " , published little time before Jacques Chirac announces that it renonçait to be represented with the presidential elections returns back to back the two candidates Sarkozy and Royal, and establishes a plea in favor of the abstention.

A fifth leaflet " the bomb of Damocles " in November 2007 appears. Nabe denounces there the projects of war against Iran towards which France is moving to the side of the United States in its eyes.

The team which composes, prints and diffuses the leaflets is completely anonymous. Simple readers, filled with enthusiasm start to contribute to the propagation of the posters. " Zidane the rabble " was translated into Italian under the title of " Zidane Feccia ". The posters of Nabe were thus also placarded in China, Malaysia or in Mali.

Controversies

The writings of Nabe, with the readily provocative and aggressive tone, were worth a certain number of polemics to him. At the time of the exit of its book To the treat of vermins , it was publicly marked of Antisémitisme and was physically attacked by Georges-Marc Benamou after his passage to Apostrophes . Certain public adversaries of Nabe, like Didier Daeninckx, continue to show it racism. The anti-American standpoint of Nabe, in particular at the time of the War in Iraq, was worth to him charges of kindness towards the mode of Saddam Hussein and the islamist radicals. At the time of his passage in the emission of Laurent Ruquier One very tested Wednesday October 18th 2006, the chronicler Gerard Miller read with the screen an assembly of short extracts of To the treat of vermins in which Nabe expressed racist opinions and anti-semites. Nabe then left the plate, without being explained, under the hootings and the applause mixed with the public.

Let us note that Marc-Edouard Nabe forever be the object of any lawsuit for these charges.
