Marc-Boris Saint-Maurice

Marc-Boris Saint-Maurice is a politicking activist, and Canadian Musicien , established with Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Musical career

It was initially made known at the beginning of the Années 1990 as bass player of the punk group Grimskunk. It is at that time that Marc Saint-Maurice inherits the nickname “Boris”.

Political advance

In 1998, it founded the Bloc Pot, a provincial political party Québécois whose main aim is the Décriminalisation, and possibly the complete Légalisation of the Marijuana.   • With the elections of November 27th, 2000, Saint-Maurice finishes in 4th place with 2156 votes for the Party Marijuana in the district of Bay-tree-Holy-Marie (Quebec), behind Gilles Duceppe, chief of the Québécois Bloc, Jean-Philippe Côté, of PLC and Dylan Perceval-Maxwell of the Green Parti.
  • the May 13rd 2002, at the time of partial in St-Léonard-St-Michel (Quebec), St-Maurice collects 197 votes and finishes last for the Party Marijuana.
  • With the elections of June 28th, 2004, in Lasalle-Émard (Quebec), it finishes 6th and the last for the Party Marijuana with 349 votes, in the district of the Prime Minister Paul Martin.

Club Compassion and militancy

Saint-Maurice also knew contentions with justice when it was voluntary part-time with the Club Compassion, an organization rested by Louise Caroline Bergeron and Caroline Doyer which provides marijuana to seriously sick people, under presentation of a doctor's certificate. Following a police raid, Saint-Maurice and his colleague Alexandre Néron were accused of possession and drug trafficking.
