Marc-Antoine Jamet

Marc-Antoine Jamet born on May 19th, 1959 with Saint-Mandé (the Valley-of-Marne), is a French politician and business man.

Political career

Former student of ENA, magistrate with the Court of Auditors, principal private secretary of Henri Emmanuelli to the presidency of the National Assembly (1992-1993), then with the first secretariat of the PS (1994-1995), of which he is also treasurer, principal private secretary of Laurent Fabius with the socialist group of the Palais Bourbon (1995-1997), then with the presidency of the National Assembly (1997-2000), special adviser of the Minister for the economy, finances and industry (2000-2001), he continues a local political career: mayor of Valley of Reuil, in the the Eure, and Vice-president of the District council of High-Normandy. He is since 1994 member of the national council and 2005 delegated to the urban renewal of the socialist party.

Business man

General secretary of the group of luxury LVMH since March 14th, 2001. He is also president of the Union of the manufacturers, chair Zoological gardens, vice-president of the Federation of Industries of Perfumery and member of the Board of directors of the company of the Eiffel Tower and Institut of International relations and Strategic ().

Marc-Antoine Jamet is chevalier of the Legion of Honor (2006), medal of national defense (1984) and knight of the academic Palms (2000).

He is the son of the journalist and writer Dominique Jamet.
