Marathon of the Medoc

The Marathon of the Medoc is a pedestrian race of 42,195 km taking each year since 1985 the vineyards and the roads of the Médoc, at the beginning of Pauillac. It is one of the most important marathon S of France by the number of the participants (approximately 8000). It is a marathon where the performances are of no importance; should be disguised, to have fun the festival while making a honourable athletic performance, a marathon is not improvised.

The course enamelled several false dishes, counts several passages of low registers (paths in the vines) and of the small coasts. It does not cross less than one about fifty wine castles, of which some very great names of the Medoc…

8.500 runners were registered with this marathon. It is an authorized maximum number.
