Marathon of Munich
The marathon of Munich (München-Marathon) is a pedestrian race of 42.195 km to Munich. It takes place at the beginning of October, it is one of most popular the marathon S German with 10.000 participants.
Course
The course leaves the Olympic stadium (OJ of 1972) in the center, then to the west of the city, the English Jardin and turns over to the Olympic stadium. The uneven one is of 100 meters only, with a coast of 15 m to the 15°kilometer.
History
The first edition goes back to 1983. In 2000, a new more travelling course is in place, but it is too monotonous. The following year, in 2001, the current course is adopted.
