Marathon of Lausanne

The marathon of Lausanne , or Lausanne-marathon , is a pedestrian Course Suisse 42,195 kilometers length which takes place each year since 1993, third Saturday of October.

Description

The race starts from Lausanne and skirts the Lac Léman until the Tower of Peilz before returning to Lausanne by the same way.

In 1995, it was classified, by the specialized press, among the 20 more beautiful marathons of the world.

The 1/2 marathon, on its side, leaves the Tower of Peilz and joined Lausanne. It is opened with the runners, the wheelchairs, the roller skates and the handy bikes.

There exists also one 1/4 of marathon (race or nordic walking).
