María Teresa Fernández of Vega

María Teresa Fernández of Vega Sanz (Valence, June 15th 1949) is a Spanish, member of the Spanish working Socialist party and current political Femme First Vice-president of the Spanish government and Ministre for the Presidency.

Bachelor E in Right to the Complutense University of Madrid, it belongs to the body of the legal Secrétaire S of the Law the labor. It becomes in 1982 direct cabinet of the Minister for Justice Fernando Ledesma Bartret. and in 1985 managing director of the services of very the Ministry.

Magistrate E in 1989, it is Secretary of State to the Justice in 1994.

Elected Appointed E of PSOE for Jaen in 1996 and for Segovia in 2000 it is general secretary of the parliamentary Groupe socialist during VIIe Législature. It is elected E for Madrid with the general elections of the March 14th 2004.

The April 18th 2004 it is appointed First Vice-president of the Government and Ministre for the Presidency of the Gouvernement Zapatero, of which it is also spokesperson. It is the most popular figure of the executive, in front of Zapatero itself.

It was the first woman to assume the president's function of the Spanish Government during the eight hours which the first lasted travels abroad of Jose Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, on April 24th, 2004.
