María Kodama

María Kodama (Buenos Aires, 1945 -) is a écrivaine, translator and Argentinian professeure.

His/her father was a Japanese architect and a large admiror of Jorge Luis Borges. The Argentinian great writer gave to Buenos Aires of English the private courses of Xe century; thus it became acquainted with that of which it became the assistant in 1975, with died of the mother of the writer, and then the wife the April 26th 1986. She helped it to write Breve antología anglosajona (1978), Atlas (1984), one of the fruits among much of others of the voyages of the couple around the world and to translate the Edda de Snorri into Castillan.

Maria Kodoma is the president of the Fundación Internacional Jorge Luis Borges , which has its seat with Buenos Aires. She is appreciated generally little by the admirors of the writer. It is the case more particularly in France where Maria Kodama blocks since long years, and for obscure reasons, the republication of two irreplaceable volumes of the Pleiad devoted to Borges.
