Created in 1987, the service iTi, old name of Mappy, is published by Lpri, subsidiary of Wanadoo/France Telecom. First of all available via Minitel (3615 iTi), the service is the first calculator of route on these media. As of 1992, the routes are available on paper thanks to the fax (3617 iTi) and with the Courrier.

The geographic coverage reaches already 18 countries in 1993. One year before the availability of the service on Internet in 1997, a version CD-ROM of the road service is available. iTi extends its range of services a little later by proposing tourist information (1998) then by allowing the reservation of Hôtel in line (1999).

The quality of its services also evolves/moves, and Mappy proposes since 2003 air photographs of more than 60 European cities. Since 2006, the whole of the French territory is covered thanks to a partnership with the national geographical Institut which provides the images.

Since January 2006, Mappy proposes a personal space with inscription called Mappy me, which makes it possible to safeguard the charts and routes and them to send to correspondents (since it is not possible to establish major bond), by commenting on them.

More recently, from the partnerships were concluded:
