Manuscripts of the Bible
There exists several handwritten of the Bible . These manuscripts are divided into various categories, according to their support or their type of writing.
One distinguishes initially:
- the papyrus, manufactured using marrow of reed, organized in the form of rollers;
- the Parchment S, manufactured using sheep or calfskins, organized in the form of separate layers.
All the manuscripts of the New Testament are written in Greek. One distinguishes:
- those written in capital letters known as “Uncial S”, they are oldest;
- those written in small letters, most.
