Manuscripts
Manuscrits is a collection of poetry of avant-garde created by Michel Cosem with the editions Encres Sharp. in 1968. Poetry such as it was practiced then, including within the review Encres Sharp, does not satisfy any more the poets.
The Manuscrits collection explores the relationship between the text, the setting-in-page and graphics. Volumes of this collection were appeared as a book gathering in a hard-bound shirt about fifteen flying pages. The poems were penmanships, drawn, the reinvented typography… All the means were implemented to disturb and transform the practices of reading (to break with its linearity).
In addition to the writers of the group Encres Sharp (Michel Cosem, Helene Mozer, Jean-Marie Sidaner, Alain Duault, Jean-max Tixier, Christian the Limousin, Michel Dugué, Gerard Durozoi, Jacques Lovichi, Robert Marty, Serge Mestre, Michel Mourot) the collection publishes: Serge Velay, Alain Borer, Jacques Ancet, Vahé Godel, Géo Norge, Jean-Luc Avoiding, Pierre Gamarra, Edouard Glissant, Valère Novarina, Jean Malrieu, Rene Nelli.
The group Encres Sharp decides to stop the collection in 1978, the literary problems and debates not being more the same ones; but this experimental collection will inspire by many reviews in the years 1980, in particular Banana Split.
