Manuel Aeschlimann

Manuel Aeschlimann is a man Politique French, born the October 22nd 1964 with Asnières-sur-Seine (Hauts-de-Seine).

Biography

Become city council man at the 25 years age, it is named first assistant of the mayor, but in 1992 disunites itself of the municipal team, which involves its exclusion of RPR. the same year, he is candidate Génération ecology with the cantonal ones, but will not remain in this movement. He becomes mayor UDF d' Asnières-sur-Seine in 1999.

He is elected appointed on June 16th, 2002, for XIIe legislature (2002-2007), in the second district of the Hauts-de-Seine by obtaining 63,63  % of the voices to the second tower vis-a-vis Dominique Riera. June 17th, 2007, Manuel Aeschlimann is re-elected with 56,2% of the votes.

He becomes technical adviser of Nicolas Sarkozy in July 2005 after having created and having chaired the commission of the follow-up of the public opinion the UMP. He is in addition lecturer to the Institut of political studies of Paris, specialist in the electoral strategy.

In 2005, Manuel Aeschlimann warns UMP, through studies of opinion targeted, on the risks of a victory of not to the referendum on the European constitution.

It was put in examination, with its request, in June 2006 for complicity of favoritism in the attribution of a government contract in its commune.

In September it utilizes the municipal police to put an end to the disorders caused as a municipal council by the former assistant, Jean-Jacques Semoun, and two other advisers of right-wing opposition, because of use of a speaking pipe.

Since 2006, an investigation is in hand with the Repression brigade of the economic delinquency (BRDE), relating to electoral rolls (approximately 30000 names) which would have been sorted by ethnic origin with the town hall of Asnières. For Manuel Aeschlimann, this denunciation at three weeks of the elections does not have anything astonishing. He affirms in addition that all the files of the Town hall were the subject of a declaration at the CNIL and that he reserves the right to carry felt sorry for libelous denunciation.
