Manticore (Honorverse)
Manticore is a fictitious planet of the Honorverse, a series of books written by David Weber and published by Baen Books.
It is the 3rd planet of the Système of Manticore (Manticore-A III). It is the capital of the stellar Royaume of Manticore. The capital city is Landing City.
Although it is very resembling the " Terre" old woman; , the long years (1 ' terrestrial year (year T) is worth 0.6 year of Manticore roughly) and the prolonged seasons required small adjustments.
An indigenous disease (plague of 22 A.A.) killed more than 60% (almost 90% of those originating in the " Terre" old woman;) colonists at the beginning of colonization.
