Manor house
The manors house (word Catalan which means castle) are a particular event cultural of the Catalogne, which consists in building human constructions.
In fact associations of castellers set up them. The tradition connects it to a local history among the Légendes founders of Catalonia in connection with the scouts to detect occurred of the unfavourable columns armed at the time with the Early middle ages.
Prohibited under Free, they were redéveloppées starting from the Comarque in the vicinity of Tarragone in the middle of the Années 1980, and from now on by an effect of emulation each agglomeration of Catalonia which claims " compter" , and of the remainder each barri of Barcelona has its own associations of xiquets (boys of the district carrying out the castles).
The demonstrations are generalized at the time of the festival of Mercé, but of other occasions are multiple as from the beautiful days to fill the places of the cities and villages.
Several formats and typologies of human towers are practiced; the child, least heavy of the unit, finishes the demonstration once while raising the arm it rose all in top of the building.
The castellers are specific to Catalonia and the area of Valence also catalanophone and does not exist in Castille; what reinforces the association of their colors with the national identity of autonomy. In return, it is clear that they exist thanks to local subsidies which enable them to be organized.
