Preparation

This medium is prepared in the microwawe oven in a usual way. Lecithin is included in the powder.

Characteristics

  • the Sodium chloride is inhibiting has this concentration.
  • the mannitol is the sugar which is used for degrading for the energy contribution.
  • the phenol red is the indicator of pH which makes it possible to visualize degradation or not manitol.

Reading

The medium is slightly opalescent because of lecithin. The colonies mannitol + are yellow, the mannitol - red.
