Manic of Montreal
The Manic of Montreal was a club of Football (Soccer) professional based with Montreal and which evolved/moved in LNAS. The club functioned of 1981 with 1983. Their stage was the Olympic stadium.
History
In 1981, the Brasserie Molson acquires the Fury of Philadelphia and relocates the team in Montreal. The team took the name of the Manic of Montreal . It was an instantaneous success, Manic of Montreal becoming even a key concession of the North-American League of soccer (LNAS).
However, after two seasons during which Manic attracts good assistances with the Olympic stadium (crowd record of 58.542 amateurs on September 2nd, 1981), Manic knows one season much more difficult in 1983.
In the light of the financial losses of the team, her owner, the Molson Brewery, decides to put a term at his existence. Manic will have evolved/moved during three seasons in what was the best professional circuit of soccer in North America. Manic will be then " transformé" in national team of Canada, the Canadian Federation of Soccer by recovering the rights.
