Mandelieu it Napoule is a common French, located in the department of the the Alpes-Maritimes and the area Provence-Alp-Coast of Azure. Its inhabitants is the Mandolociens-Napoulencs or Mandolociens-Napoulois .
By decree of the November 25th 1970, Journal officiel de la R3epublique fran1caise of the December 6th 1970 with effect with the December 7th 1970, Mandelieu becomes Mandelieu it Napoule.
Located between Cannes, Théoule-sur-Mer and Pégomas, surrounded of the solid masses of the Tanneron and the Esterel, Mandelieu it Napoule offers various landscapes: sea, forests of mimosas, villas, buildings and marinas, golfs, airport and marinas. It is crossed by the Siagne (of which the low part was arranged for navigation) which is thrown in the gulf of Napoule.
The city is served by the highway (Aix-Nice-Italy) and is at 35 minutes of the international airport of Nice - Riviera. It also counts many ports and marinas which do of them one of the sites azuréens most provided out of harbor rings. The station TGV nearest is that of Cannes (20 minutes).
To note, for the little story, that Mandelieu was the point of origin of the first section of conceded highway, therefore, paying in France (section Mandelieu-Frejus, brought into service in 1960 by Escota). The company Escota (subsidiary of ASF) preserves part of its head office in the commune.
Its economic activity, today, is mainly centered on tourism (villages holidays, hotels, casino…). The commune thus is well equipped in sites and equipment with leisures: sand beaches, golfs, gymnasium, tennis, veil, basin of oar, VTT, hiking trails etc… Considered for its festival of the mimosas, its international contest of oar (August) and its festival of the data base, Mandelieu it Napoule thus proposes a broad choice of cultural activities and sporting. Mandelieu is also recipient in the Aéroport of Cannes - Mandelieu (managed by the CCI 06), platform accommodating the planes and private jets, of the helicopters and the companies of high technology in aeronautics. It habrite partially the Space center of Cannes Mandelieu, first industrial company of the Alpes-Maritimes.
