Management of the incidents

Definition

The management of the incidents is one of the six processes of the " part; Support of service" good practices ITIL.

An incident is an event which does not form part of the standard operation of a service and which causes, or can cause, an interruption or a reduction in the quality of this service.

Objectives

The objective of the management of the incidents is the start-up, within the shortest times, by minimizing the impact on the users.
