Man-Beats
Man-Beats is a character of the universe of Batman pertaining to cd. Comics. It appeared for the first time in Detective Comics #400, illustrated by Neal Adams.
Biography
Scientist having led several experiments on the human genome, it produced a solution transforming the person consuming it into enormous a Chauve-souris humanoïde. After having been guinea-pig of its own lucky find, Kirk Langstrom was going to terrorize the skies of Gotham City. Several people went, during the years which followed, to incarnate Man-Beats it.
Appearances
- Kirk Langstrom and Man-Beats it were the first adversary which the masked Knight went to face within the framework of the televised series Batman, the animated series. A second episode put in scene Man-Beats it, but this time, it was with the turn of Francine, the wife of Mr. Langstrom who succumbed to the effects of the solution. It is doubled in French by Philippe Peythieu.
- Man-Beats also appears in the series The Batman and like the majority of the characters, a simplification of its psychology undergoes: Langstrom is not there any more one victim but a vulgar insane scientist obsessed by the idea to exceed Batman. Its French voice is ensured by Michel Prudhomme.
