Man\' yōshū

The Man' yōshū (), literally: Collection (, shū ) of ten thousand (, man ) sheets (, ), is the first anthology of poetry Japan ease dated from the surroundings of 760 containing 4516 poems from 4th at the 8th century on various subjects such as nature, the love, the voyages, and feeding from the national legendary traditions. Compilation includes/understands 265 Chôka (long poems), 4207 Tanka (short poems of 31 syllables), 1 tanrenga (short poem of transition), 1 bussokusekika ((Buddhist poem), 4 kanshi (Chinese poems) and 22 passages in Chinese prose.

Its compiler is known under the name of Otomo No Yakamochi, which was itself poet.
