Mamoru Shigemitsu

Mamoru Shigemitsu (重光葵, July 29th 1887 - June 27th 1957) was the Foreign Minister of the Japan at the end of the second world war.

It signed with Yoshijiro Umezu, the rendering of Japan the September 2nd 1945. He was later shown of war crime and was condemned to 7 years of prison.

Before obtaining the post of Foreign Minister, it was:

  • Ambassador of Japan in China
  • Ambassador of Japan in Soviet Union
  • Ambassador of Japan to the the United Kingdom
