Mamert of Vienna
Holy Mamert (death in 475), archbishop of Vienna.
Brother of the theologist and poet Claudien Mamert, it seems to be himself distinguished like him by his literary education, as by his theological science .
He became bishop of Vienna into 452 and he entered in conflict with the archbishop of Arles of which he disputed supremacy, but he had to subject himself into 463.
He introduced as a Gaulle the procession of the Rogations starting from 470, in order to put an end to a series of natural disasters.
