Mambo Italiano is a popular Chanson written by Bob Merrill in 1954.

The most sold version, recorded by Rosemary Clooney, date of 1954.

Another version was recorded by Dean Martin. With the the United Kingdom, the song was recorded by Alma Cogan in 1955.

In France, this piece is taken again by Dario Moreno then by Line Renaud (words adapted by André Salvet).

The groups Shaft and Wiseguy Orchestra in made versions Dance, inspired by the Mambo n°5 of Lou Bega.

The Disc jockey Martin Block, which diffuses on station WABC of the radio of New York, refused to play the song because of certain portions of the song which he considered shocking.

The song was taken again in 2006 per the French actor and singer Gerard Darmon in his album " Dancing" , in 2007 by Brilliant Dany on the album History of a love and in Spain for the music of the spot TV for the mark of Beer Cruzcampo (title: " Despierta ya").

The version of Rosemary Clooney was used in several films, in particular in Married to the Mob (1988), Mermaids (1990), has Man off No Importance (1994), Big Night (1996) and Mickey Blue Eyes (1999).
