Origins of the mambo

Mambo is originating in the island of Cuba. Its more close relative is the Danzon, itself derived from the Charanga or the Tumba francesa which was introduced in Cuba by Haiti ens fleeing the revolution (one agrees to say that this musical genre became Danzon in the Années 1920). In 1938, Orestes Lopez composed Danzon entitled " Mambo" who ended in an improvisation on a fast rate/rhythm (musical section up to that point unknown in Danzon). Arcaño (leader of the group of which Orestes Lopez formed part) also somewhat modified the usual composition instrumental of the groups playing of Danzon (essentially, it replaced the low usual by low of His), thus creating what was quickly to be known under the name Danzon-Mambo . Mambo referred then to the fast section placed at the end of the piece, while Danzon referred to the two traditional sections of the music of the same name. Mambo was to be born as a Musical genre with whole share, when pieces were recorded playing only the final section. Finally let us specify that this music, such as one knows it today, is the fruit many refinements which took place in particular in North America, with which one owes the introduction of instruments coming from the Jazz.
