Malvasia del Lazio
The malvasia del Lazio is a Italian Cépage of white grapes of the big family of Malvasia.
Origin and geographical distribution
It comes from the south of Italy. Of Greek probable origin, it is classified recommended or authorized in many provinces of the Latium. It is recommended in the provinces Latina, Rieti, Rome and is authorized in the provinces Frosinone and Viterbe. It is classified auxiliary type of vine in DOC. Bianco Capena, Castelli Romani, Cerveteri, Colli Albani, Colli della Sabina, Colli Etruschi Viterbesi, Frascati, Marino and Tarquinia. In 1998, it covered 4.082 ha.

Technological potential
The bunches are average with large and the bays are of intermediate size. The bunch is conical, winged and compact. The flesh is juicy and of a simple savor. The type of vine is of vigor average and the production is weak but of good quality. The malvasia del Lazio is often used as type of vine complementary to the type of vines Trebbiano and Malvasia bianca di Candia
