The family of the maluridés (or Maluridae ) belongs to the class of the Oiseau X and to the order of the Passériformes. They are small endemic insectivorous birds in Australia and New Guinea. They are commonly called Roitelet S though they are not related with the kinglets of the northern hemisphere. They are divided into two subfamilies: the subfamily of the Amytornithinae which includes/understands only one kind Amytornis and ten species and the subfamily of the Malurinae divided into two tribes: tribe of the Malurini and tribe of the Stipiturini.
