Malmö Redhawks
The Malmö IF Redhawks is a club of Hockey of Sweden, localized with Malmö and which evolves/moves in the Elitserien. The club gained 2 times the Swedish championship, in 1992 and 1994, and once the Coupe of Europe, in 1993.
The club was founded in 1910 under the name of Malmö FF, then famous Malmö IF the February 28th 1972 when the section hockey separated from Malmö FF. Redhawks played in Elitserien of 1990 to 2005; they were relegated in the Allsvenskan for the season 2005-06, at the end which they were again promoted at the most level of Swedish hockey. Unfortunately for the team, the redescente is immediate.
